Dreamt Vessels is a site-specific installation inspired by the Genus Loci of Roseberry Topping, connecting its present natural landscape with hits historic and cultural heritage. The idea is to envision the daydreams of young boy James Cook with blue shimmering vessels. Enjoying the vast stretch of green, young Captain Cook will have probably wandered in dreams, following his imaginary places and expeditions: the 3D lighting ships visualise his fantasies and his future as great explorer and navigator.
Glowing Dreamt Vessels allow the viewers, as well as the adolescent Captain Cook, to travel and sail with absolute freedom to all the places we care to imagine.
The installation underlines also the character of the Roseberry Topping as a beacon and navigational aid for sailors at sea.
