‘INFINITO’ is a light sculpture featuring dozens of programmed colour-changing LED tubes arranged to create the infinity sign, or lemniscate.
The infinity symbol, a closed loop with no beginning and no end, carries many meanings ranging from personal strength to enduring love and it has been used in many different cultures to represent the eternal cycle of life, the immeasurable and the appreciation of nature’s lifecycle.
The three-dimensional geometric shapes cast complex luminous forms in the immediate surroundings, creating an immersive and spatial experience for the viewers, who are invited to walk around the installation and perceive it from different perspectives.
‘INFINITO’ was presented as part of the exhibition ‘Between light and matter’ as part of the Walk-In Studio Festival in Milan, 20 - 24 October 2020.
